Blogs I like Part I

So, there are several blogs I like, outside of church people and family, and I decided I will share them with you! Plus, I can’t seem to think of anything else to blog about!

The first blog I like is The The Pioneer Woman (click on the link or the picture to visit blog)
untitled I mostly read her blog for her recipes! She has ALOT to choose from and they all look yummy!

So, my next few posts will be about other blogs I like to read, hopefully you will like them too!

Are there any blogs you like to read?

Resolutions…

We’ve been talking alot about change recently. I have been thinking about things that the Lord had put in my heart in the past and really examining if I had done or at least started to do those things. ar119895516288958
He told me to go back and look at my “New Year’s Resolutions” and see if I had accomplished any for this year. (I guess that’s one reason we write them down) Some of the goals we had set were long term and we knew wouldn’t be fulfilled this calendar year. Some however, were short term and we intended to see them accomplished in 2009. Some of them we have, we bought a house, our car will be paid off by the end of the year and there were several others that we have seen happen! But, there are some they I have fallen WAY short of!

One of them is my exercising habits! Trent and I both set goals for our physical bodies, things we wanted to see by the end of the year. We didn’t set goals that would be unattainable or impossible to reach either, we both just asked the Lord what we be at with our weight, how we should be eating, etc…

Well, I have not even come close to accomplishing those goals! So, I have decided to “start over” with it! I am determined to lose the weight I need to lose and get into shape and eat right! I guess I thought it was be “no problem” to do this but I am realizing it just takes work and discipline! So, with the help of the Holy Spirit and good ole’ discipline, here I go!

What about you? Did you set goals? Have you seen any of them accomplished?

Please, share! It's encouraging to see/hear of people that have set goals and then seen them fulfillled!

I feel like Elf!

So, my favorite line from the move Elf (which I recommend if you haven’t seen it) is when Buddy the Elf says “I’m in love, I’m in love and I don’t care who knows is”!! I’m not sure if anyone knows what I am talking about!!

That’s how I feel!! I get to see Trent today, it’s been a week! We both knew that he was to go to England with his dad and from what I’ve heard it’s been AMAZING!!! I can’t wait to hear ALL of it!

It was a great week for me too! God really showed me some things about relying on Him, God is my source of joy and peace, not Trent! There is a place of grace we, as wives, can step into to function while our husbands are gone! (Thank-you Pastor Susan for sharing that with me) But, I can’t tell you how excited I am to see my husband! You don’t realize all the things you love and appreciate about someone until they aren’t there! I am humbling myself to say this but some of the things that would kind annoy me that Trent would do, are the things I missed alot! It makes me see how much I love him and how much I appreciate him!!

So, with all the excitement I have, I say “I’m in love, I’m in love and I don’t care who knows it”!!

Disclaimer: I know this cheesy and maybe dumb for other people to read but what can I say? I am excited to see him!
